Within the gardens is a trampoline and two swings where the children can let off steam. A games room complete with pool table and a selection of board games can also be found within the landscaped gardens - ideal for a rainy day!
Wander up the path and past the raised Koi pond and you will find a summerhouse nestled within the conifers and shrubs. Perfect for an early morning coffee or to watch the sun set after a busy day exploring the Durham Dales.
A decked area complete with night lighting and wooden seating provide a relaxing haven after dark - indulge yourself in the peace and tranquility or meander across the wooden bridge and watch the Koi in the pond below for perfect relaxation.
A gas BBQ is also available in this area for your use.
We explored the local towns, Durham, Newcastle, Auckland Castle, Raby Castle, Hamsterley Forest and played Golf at Brancepeth Castle. All of which were fab days out and fell in love with the scenery and local life. Valerie was a brilliant host and this house was fantastic.

We enjoyed the garden and BBQ and the boys especially enjoyed the pool table. We spent a day at South Shields, did a lovely bike ride through Hamsterley Forest and a spent a day at Alnwick Castle. We even had fun when it rained!
The accommodation was extremely comfortable and the gardens superb - the kids really enjoyed the games room too.We enjoyed the stunning scenery and went on some lovely walks. Thank you for being so helpful!
