Weardale Holiday Cottages

We have six well equipped self catering cottages in picturesque Weardale, County Durham, England. The location is ideal for exploring County Durham and the North of England, we are just 18 miles from Durham City. Individually the cottages can sleep a range of party sizes from just 1 person to 15 people and we can also accommodate group bookings of up to 47 people. Making our cottages perfect for couples retreats, family gatherings, friends catching up, golfing parties, cycling groups, walking groups and much more! The cottages are available all year round and can be booked for short breaks, weeks and longer stays if required.

Five of our holiday cottages are converted barns, four of which are located on our small working farm. The other is centrally located in the village and shares a site with our largest cottage which was formerly the village school. All have been tastefully refurbished and are full of character and charm. You will find that all the cottages are well equipped, spacious and very comfortable.

The cottages range in size and can comfortably accommodate up to 15 people. Group bookings are welcome and if all the cottages are booked together we can accommodate 47 people making us ideal for family gatherings, walking parties, cycling groups and much more!

All of our cottages are located around Frosterley, a small village in the Heart of the North Pennines an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Being surrounded by most beautiful scenery provides us with some fabulous walking and cycling routes right on our doorstep. Within the village there are two pubs that serve food, a shop and a takeaway serving fish and chips and pizzas.

We are conveniently situated to visit the historic city of Durham, Beamish Museum, Killhope Wheel, High Force, Barnard Castle and both Northumberland and the Lake District can be reached within an hour’s drive.

All of the holiday cottages are available for short breaks, for weeks or longer term stays and pets are very welcome.
